The Weekly.

And so begins another week…another 7 days, another 168 hours…another week where there’s work to be done, conversations to be had, laughter to embrace, people to see, lessons to learn & love to be shared.

How will you use these 7 days, these 168 hours, these moments that will so quickly be gone forever…how will you use these moments to love well?

This past week, I held the lifeless hand of my great-grandmother and watched and waited as she gripped life. As I helped care for this beautiful woman, I found a treasure….these hands that raised two children, that built a marriage sustained for over 70 years, that tenderly loved her grandchildren, that loved to twirl during swing dancing, that lived and learned and lived out love. These hands wrinkled and worn, now cold and lifeless….as I held on, she let go and in those moments of letting go, she shared with me her wisdom. She shared with me the importance of making the most out of these lives that we live. She reminded me that our time on this earth is but a moment…what will be our legacy? what will our hands be remembered for doing? what will our love do to impact people? At the end of our stories, in light of eternity is all that will really matter….

So, let go of the disagreements & hold on to Truth. let go of striving & embrace true freedom in Christ. let go of pride & embrace humility. let go of the to-do’s & embrace the have-to’s. let go of complacency & stand for holiness. let go of bitterness & live a life of love.

Again I ask, how will you use these 7 days, these 168 hours, these moments that will so quickly be gone forever…how will you use these moments to love well?

Career Beginnings & Life Adventures:

*The waiting continues…I pray and I wonder what God might be doing and how long He’ll have me to wait for this job that’s been my passion for years. I’m making the connections, I’m submitting the applications, I’m making the phone calls and sending the emails….and I’m learning to trust. Learning to trust that His purposes for me are being discovered and that I needn’t worry. As I learn to let go of my fleshly pursuits of success, He fills my life with holy and sacred moments that remind me of my purpose and calling.

Must-Haves:

Sharing some beauty goodies for today…but always remember that you are beautiful JUST AS YOU ARE…

*Amlactin Daily Lotion…is your skin ready for summer?! This amazing body lotion contains lactic acid which promotes natural exfoliation and will leave your skin feeling oh, so soft and ready for some summer fun!

*BabeLash! I’ve shared this magic before, but thought that I would mention it again because this product is so AMAZING! I have been able to remove mascara from my make-up regimen because this lash serum has made my lashes longer, thicker and darker!

Goals for the Week:

*Every month, I aim to have a “personal day”, where I take some time to set aside the phone, the to-do list, and the distractions, and I go to a place where I find rest. I wrestle through the uncomfortable feelings of being alone and I let myself know silence and boredom. And in those moments, I feel Christ’s spirit within me and I am reminded of the great beauty and strength that He is within me. This week holds my “personal day” and I am excited to see where that adventure takes me and what beauty I find in such moments.

.

Love on your people, don’t let the sun go down on your anger, and keep in perspective your legacy in light of eternity.

  1. Thank you from the depths of my heart for this beautiful tribute to Grandma. You were her “angel” as she so beautifully professed in her last words to you. I hope you always hold on to that and know just how very much you are loved and appreciated. ❤️

Nothing more wonderful than being loved, except for giving and showing love.♥️ What a wonderful blessing for your great grandmother to feel the loving anointed hands of a great granddaughter so full of love and compassion as she transitions from this life. I am so excited to see what wonderful door of opportunity that God is preparing for you, it will be special because you will work hand in hand with Him and those who are fortunate enough to receive your care will be handpicked by the Father. I love this picture, maybe because everyday draws me closer to this place, but it also reminds me of what an important part our hands play in expressing love. Sometimes we just long for a gentle touch or someone to lovingly hold our hand to let us know they’re there for us. Keep on shinin my dear, even now while you’re waiting on that door to open He is using you in incredible ways!♥️

Im a lil late in reading this, but it actually could not have come at a more perfect time! I’ve been deeply saddened by close relationships that have been marked by very harsh words, hurtful comments, comments which left another devastated during a time when there should have been pure Joy! Im not personally involved, but both relationships are close to me and this quote was a reminder of how we are to deal with the aftermath.

Thank you for sharing, and I leave thinking/pondering these things…

    1. Hi sweet friend, thank you for your kind words and vulnerability. I am so sorry to hear about this situation. It truly breaks my heart to hear of these instances and see how hurtful words can be. But it’s also an encouragement to me to evaluate my own actions and words and remember how thankful I am for the grace that God gives me everyday. Love to you!
