The Weekly.

Hi Lovely…it’s been a while. Life has been full these past couple months…establishing life on my own within these new four walls, lovin’ on the moms and babes at work and taking on the beauty of each ordinary day.

With the final flowers of summer being plucked from the field, fall has come with all its glorious hygge. That feeling of cozy and calm, where the chaos of summer comes to a close and the cooler weather draws you home.

This month, as the world prepares for a day of giving thanks, I’ve been trying to learn what it is to live a life of thanks giving. A life that resembles the beauty of the broken, that gives thanks for the stains that can be turned into stones of remembrance and a life that leaves a legacy of love.

This season with its messages of gratitude on social media, its home decor signs reminding you to ‘Count Your Blessings” and “Give Thanks, its push to give to the less fortunate and share what you’re grateful for around the table…all of it’s nice and convenient, but what about when it’s hard to live a life of thanks giving, and it’s outside the season of when culture bombards you with it, and you just feel a bit undone inside…how do you “Count Your Blessings” and “Give Thanks” then…?

…the way to keep your heart soft in a hard world, is to keep giving thanks through the hard things. I give way to grinning like a fool, because, even in the midst of all the things, it’s all true: Giving thanks is always worth it, because the fight for joy is always worth it and God is always worth it. -Ann Voskamp

Because it’s in those ordinary, inconvenient, unpopular times of giving thanks that I think we can anticipate the greatest miracle- Hope.

May we seek to live a life of thanks giving, leaning into the broken and the beautiful and anticipating hope in the ordinary moments…

I’ve finally found myself adjusted to the day shift schedule and am enjoying waking and sleeping with the rest of the world! The babies have come in droves lately with my first set of triplets, new moms, experienced moms and all the in-between. Continually honored to serve such strong women and their families as they partner with the hand of God to bring about new life.

That’s all for now…hoping to share more in this next season of all the goodness that God is drawing me into!
