Good Morning Lovely…

“It isn’t what we say or think that defines us, but what we do…”

These words I read over and over again as they sit displayed in that velvet frame on my dresser. The reminder that my actions speak a loud message and that what I do with each moment, each day, each month, each year…they all add up to the legacy I’ll leave….

This past week, we lost a dear friend unexpectedly to a pulmonary embolism. And as I sat at her memorial, surrounded by people who loved her and felt loved by her, and as we sang those words, “amazing grace, how sweet the sound”, I couldn’t help but be reminded of this message once again. The beauty of her legacy left behind, a challenge for us all to emulate her capacity to love, live fully, and foster profound connections.

Just some questions I’m challenged with on this Monday morning…what’s the legacy you’ll leave? What will your actions speak to those around you, both now while you live and then when you die? Are you living in a way that builds the legacy you want to leave…
