Good Morning, my friend! 

As you begin afresh today, I pray that you know how much you’re loved. Your work matters in this world and the perseverance that you face each day with is a beautiful resistance that should not be taken for granted. 

Learning a lot in this season about beautiful resistance…this idea that my pursuit of Jesus must be stronger than the cultural formation happening around me and the compromise that pleads for my soul everyday. This idea, inspired by Jon Tyson and his book, Beautiful Resistance is a reminder of the joy that comes in conviction. As our culture subtly bargains for our souls with every scroll through social media, with the comparison game that always leaves us feeling empty, with the idea that we each should ‘live our own truth’, with the everchanging political practices…we are being called to a beautiful resistance. To stand on the Truth of Jesus Christ and walk in the obedience of discipleship rather than the cultural formation of our day. 

Challenged to consider how I can walk in this beautiful resistance on the daily, letting the light and love of Jesus be my biggest guide…

Career Adventures://

First week at my job was amazing! New adventure…New places. New people. New experiences. New learning. Week one of my work as a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Sutter Sacramento. My heart can’t wait to be back in that labor room…that room where miracles happen, where strong women become mamas, where there are tears of joy and sometimes tears of loss, but ultimately this place that consistently reminds me of the beauty of being present. 🤍 Here’s to this next adventure of entering the labor room with courage and a renewed sense of hope…
