Academics://

SO MUCH LEARNING GOING ON OVER HERE!!

*We will be learning about the physiology of the Foramen Ovale in the fetal heart. The foramen ovale is one of two cardiac shunts in the fetal heart that allows for blood to bypass pulmonary circulation as the lungs are bathed in fluid while in utero. BUT, at birth, with the baby’s first breath, this shunt is closed as blood can now flow through pulmonary circulation. What a beautiful illustration of how we all have a “hole” in our hearts that can only be filled with His breath in our lungs….Him breathing new life into our bodies, that we might have life to the fullest. God, thank you for your image of grace and beauty in every detail of human design.

*Tuesday we have Older Adult Interviews, where we’ll get to interview an older adult in a nursing home. What an honor it will be to stop my busy life, to listen to the stories of the wise, and to gain perspective.

For When I Have A Nurse’s Salary://

*I am so loving this Mock-Neck Coat from Old Navy! It is super soft and warm and perfect for dressing up any outfit!

*Although there is nothing like a good pair of tall Hunter rain boots, I am loving the look of these short booties from J.Crew. Fabulous for rainy weather, all while maintaining a sleek and professional appearance.

*And I just had to add this in because this is what life is all about for me right now…showing off our beautiful stethoscopes!

Excitement for the Week://

*Family trip to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving!!

*Complete my last full week of classes before re-cap and finals begin.

Have a great week, friends!
