A HomeTown Christmas.

“Doing nothing often leads to doing the very best of something”

-Winnie the Pooh

I have discovered that the very best moments in life often come about when you least expect them to….when nothing extravagant is planned….when laughter comes about spontaneously….when hugs are shared for no other reason than to extend kindess and love….and when the heart finds true rest and peace through connection.

These are the days….the smiles…. and the memories that make life worth while. That remind me of the beauty that God has surrounded my life with. That pour life and love into my sometimes weary soul and give me strength for the journey ahead.

When doing nothing together turns into doing something great together….Tahoe Days…embracing the bitter cold, while surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation. Being wowed by His wonder and majesty!

.

And the laughs….of course the laughs! For the very most ordinary moments can be turned into something extra-ordinary when sprikled with laughter…

And then there comes that special day of rememberance….the 359th day of the year….the day that brought LIFE and HOPE into this world in the birth of baby Jesus. And I feel His warm embrace around me while cuddled around the fire place with family.

Here we are. Our imperfections. Our frustrations. Our weary souls. Our broken stories, so inidivudal, yet so intertwined.

Here we are. Our wonder. Our awe of Christ’s work within. Our inner strength. Our stories of redemption because of this precious baby child that we celebrate.

In this season of glistening lights. Of words of Peace and Hope. Of this sense of warmth and community….May we hold on to such beauty all year long.

May we never lose our wonder.
May we never lose our wonder.
Wide eyed and mystified.
May we be just like a child.
Staring at the beauty of our King.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Wishing you all a Happy New Year! May you know the warmth of His love for you and may you be encouraged to extend that to those around you.

xoxo, Lindsey
