This day…this 3rd day of June in 2019. This day that we’ve been waiting for. Waiting for the cap and gown and the moving of the tassel from the right to the left. This day that’s been worked for and prayed for and greatly anticipated. This day- graduation day for my amazing brother!
For my brother…the boy who was born in an ambulance because he just couldn’t wait to meet the world! The boy who’s brought laughter and wonder into our lives and teaches us to have fun. The boy with the love for life that inspires all those around him. The boy who lives out loud, is creative and always thinks outside the box. The boy that’s defied many odds, pushed through the things he was told he couldn’t do, and has come out the other side with victory and strength. This boy whose taken the road less traveled and is pursuing a career that he’s passionate about.
Today, this boy dressed up in blue, with honors cords around his neck, graduating with a 4.7 GPA, with a cap on his head and that beautiful smile on his face. Today this boy walked across a stage and received his high school diploma! 12 years of hard work and perseverance and now this chapter comes to a close.
Luke, as you embrace the next chapter in life, may you always remember to stay humble and kind. Keep your feet firmly planted on the Truth of God’s word and His work in your life. Hold on to hope. Always remember, to never forget that you are a beautiful child of God. You make me proud and I couldn’t be more happy to see you walk across that stage today. So proud of you!
