Happy Monday & Happy July!
Here we are at the beginning of another month, another week, another day, another moment in time…
.
As I picked up these beautiful peonies at the local farmers market on Saturday, I found myself strolling through the market with flowers in hand and my heart abounding with happiness and great anticipation….these peonies, although simply beautiful in their current closed state, I could hardly wait to see what they would become in the days ahead…with the encouragement of a little sunshine and some water, I wondered what these beauties would become.
.
As we enter into another month, may we have hope and anticipation for the goodness that God has yet to bring. The blessings that await…the beauty that comes through opening up one’s hands and heart to receive…the growth that can come from a little time with the SON and near the River of Life. Let’s wait together….wait with great hope for the beauty that is to come…
Academics:
*Week 2 is off to a start with to-do lists already constructed and a load of homework before me! Last week, I had the opportunity to engage in my clinical setting and learn about what population I will be specifically serving. I am stationed at the local fire department and will be working with the department to serve the community and their health needs. I am excited for this placement and look forward to advancing my therapeutic communication skills, my experience with trauma, and my knowledge of what happens outside the hospital.
*I am very encouraged by the prospective workload of this term and am excited for 4 day weekends, 9am clinical start times, and a more relaxed pace. Trying to not count down the days, but instead come to treasure every moment and embrace the beauty of this summer!
Must-Haves:
*SALE! This Target staple is on sale for $5 each! Love how soft and breathable these T-shirts are!
*Love these shoes from Amazon…the perfect addition to your summer shoe collection!
*Another Amazon find…this dress could be used as a swim suit cover-up or just a cute summer dress!
Goals for the Week:
*Embrace healthy structure in my daily routine…read more, go to bed early, get outside, take a walk, let go of technology and the screen, eat healthy foods, meditate on scripture and pour yourself into practicing the presence of God, worship….embrace this beautiful life.
*Continue making my dream board…uncovering my passions and cultivating adventure in this next season as I graduate nursing school and establish a life, without the student title.
