Friend, can I just tell you how nice it is to have you here today…today I’m thankful for YOU! Thankful for the beautiful impact that you’ve had on my life. Today, may you soak in all the goodness that God is accomplishing in and through YOU…Today is the day to courageously believe that you were made for hard and holy things, so LIVE LOVED.

Academics: 

*Over the weekend, I had the privilege of getting to go jet skiing with some friends from my nursing cohort! It was cold and gray, as Portland clearly has no other weather response, but we braved it anyways…swimsuits and sweatshirts on board, we braved the waves and made fun summer memories!

*Oh my goodness….week 3 is here already! Trying to embrace every minute of this slow-paced term, with long weekends, long summer days, and the beauty of time spent with new friends. Last week’s clinical went well as I had my first home visit. Hard to believe that such a life…such a story of brokenness could be summed up in a few papers and stacked in a manila folder. But life isn’t really like that….a chart doesn’t always tell us the whole story. What a blessing it is this term, being able to see what our patients see…to know where they come from and where they are going…to know the beauty that is weaved within their messy story. I am humbled. I am grateful.

*I have the privilege of working with the fire department this term during my clinical and I have my first solo ride-along this week! I am SO EXCITED! Braving the new adventure and looking forward to some action-packed 911 calls. So….if you’ve fallen and you can’t get up…call me and I’ll be you’re girl!

Goals for the Week:

*Pray more…I’ve been encouraged in my daily time with the Lord to really pour into my time with Him in prayer. To wake up early…to set aside the distractions…to say yes to Him first and listen for His voice in the stillness of the morning. He has much to teach me in this season and I want to be ready to listen and respond in obedience.
