Good Morning, My Friend…
Captured today by this idea of beholding the beauty that surrounds us.
In every moment, in every interaction, in every aspect of becoming…what beauty there is.
My Career Adventures.
Every moment of this process of becoming…
this process of becoming a labor and delivery nurse
this process of watching and waiting alongside women as they anticipate created life being birthed
this process of learning the role I play, the value that I bring, and the honor that it is to operate in my ‘why’…
this process is teaching me more about myself than I ever thought possible.
While I thought the tasks of starting IVs, performing cervical checks and assisting in the OR, would be the greatest of my lessons learned in these walls of the hospital….it’s been the moments of sheer glory when that first cry is heard, it’s been the comforting of a mama in labor whose first baby didn’t survive and yet she carries this profound hope for this baby as she pushes through the process of the pain and seeks to find the purpose, its been the new friendships built between coworkers and the strength that’s built from a time of being a nurse within these crazy days…it’s these moments of becoming that have taught me the greatest of lessons.
So sure, the hours are long and the my body is sore and tired most days, but the minutes go by fast and my heart is glistening with the inexpressible joy that comes from sharing compassion and empathy….of partnering with the hand of God to welcome new life.

So what beauty will you find today in beholding the extra- ordinary moments that God brings your way? Don’t let the distraction of the tasks of life get in the way of the ultimate purpose of life.
Clinical:
This week brought so much great clinical learning and I just couldn’t help but share…
Cervical Exams:// The peace sign will never mean the same to me ever again 🙂 You know you’re a labor and delivery nurse when you get excited about getting your cervical exam technique mastered!
Delivery:// I had my first mama whose delivery I was (mostly) independent on. From labor support, to pushing support, to welcoming baby, transitioning to postpartum and of course all the charting in between…it brought a great measure of confidence to be able to assist this sweet family in welcoming their little one.
Must-Haves:
*Loving this Floral Headband! These Hello Headbands are SO COMFY and unlike other head wraps/headbands, they don’t give me a headache~ I absolutely LOVE them!
*Essential Oil Goodie of the Week: NingXia Red – this stuff is liquid gold! I take 1-2ozs of this power juice every morning and it works to balance my blood sugars, promote sustained energy, and keep my nails, hair and skin healthy and strong!

Love on your people & keep in perspective your beautiful legacy in light of eternity.…
Love and Blessings,

My Dear Lindsey,
Please write a book. You and your Mom are both so gifted with putting words to paper.
You encourage me dear one. You yourself are a gift from God. Keep writing, keeping processing, keep our Lord at the forefront for all you do.
Love on those mama’s.
