Hello Lovely….
So Here We Are Again…another Monday, another 7 days, another 168 hours in the week before us. With opportunity and potential and hope and disruption and wondering and waiting and His grace for each new day….
And in this new day, I am challenged. I am challenged to remember that His mercies are new for me every morning. I am challenged to believe that my God is good and that His will for my life and the purposes that He wants to accomplish in and through me, make me enough. I am challenged to choose joy amidst a world of fear. I am challenged to choose adventure and spontaneity. I am challenged to choose the acceptance of grace and lay aside shame.
And can I just be honest for a second….this season has been hard. Hard in my wait for a job…a type of work that my soul is so passionate about. a type of work that shares compassion, where I get to use the knowledge that I’ve worked so hard for. a type of work where I get to be a vessel, an outpouring, the hands and feet of the ultimate Healer, Jesus. a type of work where I get to touch a life and feel it’s impact change mine forever. This work as a nurse…this work in labor and delivery- this work I am so passionate for.
But God’s path…ah, it’s never linear. It’s complex and sometimes confusing to my human brain…I try to reason it out, make a chart, create a list, establish a plan, perfect my resume….and then in the stillness of the morning, He reminds that He loves me and that true success is found in that simple truth and not in my human reasoning.
Jesus Loves Lindsey.
He reminds me that my plans, my perfect timing, my charts and my perfectly crafted resume…it’s all just my attempt at trying to reason through His ultimate plan. But, friends, as I am learning…that’s not trust. When I can create the pathway for myself and outline every organized detail, that’s not trust.
So Today, as I begin another Monday, another 7 days, another 168 hours….I am challenged to see today as an opportunity. An opportunity for adventure, for laughter, for chances to truly experience the goodness of God. And when those thoughts of doubt and discouragement come, I remember these wise words from a friend of mine…
“I think sometimes we use ‘seasons of waiting’ as an excuse…
…to wait to live.
You are not behind in life. There isn’t a timeline you have to accomplish by a certain age. If you spend the season you are in, waiting for the next, then you will miss out on so much beauty and growth.
College isn’t the answer. Marriage isn’t the answer. The job is not the answer. Kids are not the answer. Retirement isn’t the answer. Those are incredible things, but this is LIFE and it looks different on each person.
YOU ARE NOT BEHIND.
Choose growth in every season. Serve others well. Stop comparing. Choose Jesus first. And realize the American dream created a lot of unhappy people.
Don’t get to the end of your life and realize that you spent the whole thing in a season of waiting…”
H.S.
So today, I am going to choose growth. I am going to choose to see today as an opportunity to share the love and compassion of Jesus with others in whatever way that manifests.
So how will you be challenged by these words…how will you step into Jesus’ commission for His disciples to go out and make disciples of all nations…how will you respond even when your passions, your purposes, your dreams, your goals go unfulfilled and lie waiting?
Career Beginnings & Life Adventures:
*Sothishappened! We MOVED! If you know our story, you know that the selling of our home is truly a miracle. So many details, 30 days and no place to live in the middle of a pandemic…and somehow we ended up in this beautiful charm of what we like to call the white house, surrounded by the kindest of neighbors, beautiful landscape and hearts that are beginning to heal and find joy again. This new home has brought light to our lives in more ways than one and we are SO excited to share this space with friends and family and create many wonderful memories here!
Must-Haves:
*Progessence Plus has been my oil of choice this week…supporting my hormones, giving my endocrine system the support that it needs to sustain all the craziness of life!

YES! Walking in His Victory!! It’s all about what He has for us to LEARN…. learning about Him, learning about ourselves. It’s not the destination that matters as much.. it’s all about the JOURNEY and what He has for us along the way!
Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4
I’m so blessed by you and proud to walk alongside you on your journey. Love you, Mama 💕
