Glory & Goodness. “Then Moses said, ‘Now show me your glory.’ And the Lord said, ‘I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you. and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence.…’” (Ex 33:18-19)

Those seasons of life where you find yourself asking for the Lord’s glory, but He responds with His goodness. Those seasons where you hope for the simple, the straightforward and the esteemed, but you find yourself in the broken, the messy and what feels like the unseen. Those seasons where you wait and watch for the beauty of the harvest, but find that the deep roots have only just taken root.

Up in the clouds for a flight lesson got me thinking about this idea of glory and goodness…the bright, the light, the inexplicable beauty, the glory of being up at 13,000ft…Where you can feel the warmth of the sun, see the beauty of a higher perspective and find a sense of wonder in the wide expanse….a picture of His glory. A light and warmth to your soul that passes by giving us a higher perspective, one that’s not caught up in the distractions and disillusions of the happenings down below.

And down below…where you see the flaws, the need for grace and where the beauty of the wrestle resides. Where in all things there is a beauty that’s becoming and a goodness that is seen even though grief. The goodness of God…an attribute of his presence that points to His glory.

Just some thoughts from my time up in the ☁️ and the beauty that’s found in both His goodness and glory…
